MURALS & PUBLIC
ARTWORK
Why Public Art Matters to Me
Public art has always been at the heart of my creative practice. Growing up, I was deeply inspired by murals and public installations. The kind of work you’d stumble upon walking down the street that made you feel something. Seeing art in everyday spaces showed me what was possible, and that inspiration is what led me to pursue life as a full-time artist.
To me, public art isn’t just about adding color to a wall. It’s about creating moments of connection and building a sense of community. I believe public art should be a reflection of both the artist’s vision and the people who live around it. When a community feels seen in the work when they can walk past it and feel a sense of ownership.

Over time, my work has grown from traditional murals into more sculptural and multidimensional forms. Lately, I’ve been experimenting with wood and other natural materials to create wall-mounted pieces that explore themes of nature, energy, and human experience. This shift has allowed me to play with form, texture, and depth in ways that feel fresh, while still staying true to the spirit of storytelling that’s always driven my work. Whether I’m painting a large exterior wall or building a sculptural installation, I approach every project with intention and focus. I want the work to feel alive, something people interact with, reflect on, and feel connected to. Public art has the power to bring people together, to bridge gaps between generations, cultures, and stories. That’s the kind of impact I strive to make with every piece I create.
